I believe Victoria is in the midst of a housing affordability crisis.

In 1995, the price of a median Melbourne home was 2.9 times the average Melbourne household income. Today it is to 5.7 times!

Every year it is getting harder for Victorians to purchase their own home or meet their monthly rental payments.

Costs in the areas of tax, government regulations, planning and land supply management have all been going up steadily. Successive Governments have failed to keep an eye on the impact of these policies on housing affordability.

I am a voter in your electorate and I am wondering if ‘anybody is listening’ to my concerns about housing affordability.
